Our Mission and Philosophy

  • The Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts (RMCMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to “Music for all... for life!®” by providing quality, creative, music-making experiences for students of all ages and abilities, regardless of cultural background or financial status. In addition to offering private instruction, group classes, and performance opportunities, the RMCMA seeks to provide resources and support to parents and teachers, and outreach to the community.
  • Our approach is based upon the American philosophy of music teaching called Comprehensive Musicianship electronic trading platform in Qatar. This method seeks to uncover the elements common to all music (rhythm, pitch, etc.) regardless of origin, style, or period, and integrates the study of music theory, history, and performance. The role of the teacher is to guide the student in becoming a well-rounded musician, by experiencing music through performance (singing, playing), analysis (visualizing, verbalizing, moving, notating), and creation (improvising, composing).
  • There are many ways to be musical—for a lifetime! Our student-centered approach recognizes the creative potential in every individual, and the power of music and the other arts to enrich human existence.
  • Our Faculty and Staff
  • RMCMA personnel are a diverse group of skilled, dedicated individuals who are experienced teachers and actively-performing musicians in the Boulder-Denver area. We share a strong belief in the pure, necessary joy of music-making. See Our Staff section for more details and contact information.
  • Non-Discrimination Policy

To foster an equitable, nurturing, and stimulating environment for music learning and experience, the RMCMA affirms that its students, faculty, staff, and guests have a right to be free from discrimination. We invite people of all ages, genders, races, and religions to participate in music study and events. We do not discriminate on any basis in the administration of our instructional, admission, employment, or scholarship policies.
